Reduces body heat/ Increases appetite
Ingredients:
- Gongura/ Pulichakeerai leaves - 1 bunch
- Red chillies- 5
- Hing - little
- Oil - to fry
- Fenugreek seeds- 2 tsp
- Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
- Salt - per taste
Step 1: Grinding leaves
- Wash leaves thoroughly
- In a pan, add little oil
- Add leaves and saute
- The leaves becomes 1/4 of the portion
- Switch off and grind to paste
Step 2 : Masala to grind for the thogayal
- Add oil in pan, Add fenugreek seeds and red chillies
- Fry until seeds turn little brown
- Add hing
- Add salt
- Allow to cool and grind
Step 3 : Making thogayal/Chutney
- Splutter mustard seeds
- Add leaves paste and masala powder
- Mix well
- Fry until nice aroma
This thogayal can be stored for a month. You can mix it with rice whenever required and eat.
This is very useful to reduce body heat and increase apetite.
