Chocolate cake with butter cream




Ingredients:
  1. Wheat -  2 cup
  2. Egg - 2 (optional) / replace with banana 
  3. Butter - 1/2 cup 
  4. Cocoa powder - 1/4 cup 
  5. Baking powder - 1 tsp
  6. Vannila essence - 1/2 tsp
  7. Salt - pinch
  8. Milk- 1 cup
  9. Dates - 8 soaked in milk
  10. Honey - 1/2 cup
  11.  Semi grind Nuts of your choice - 1cup

Method:

  • Soak dates for 20 mins in milk and grind to fine paste. Keep aside
  • In a bowl, Whisk eggs well (optional)/ Add banana and whisk
  • Add butter and honey , whisk well until becomes foamy
  • Add milk and vanilla essence while you keep whisking
  • Add dates mix
  • Sieve all dry ingredients together and add to the wet ingredients
  • Grease the pan, pour the contents and tap for air bubbles
  • Bake at 250 degree for 20-30 mins( time varies according to oven). 
  • Pierce through a toothpick to test for stickiness.
  • Allow it cool


Cream:

  1. Butter - 1 cup
  2. Chocolate powder - 1/4 cup
  3. Milk - little to blend
  4. Honey - 1/4 cup
Blend all the ingredients together and keep aside
  • Apply the cream on the cake
  • Sprinkle some nuts on the top
  • Treat yourself :)
