Paneer butter masala


Ingredients


  1. Onion -1 
  2. Tomatoes- 3 (big)
  3. Butter- 1 small cup
  4. Ginger garlic paste - 1/4 tsp
  5. Garam masala - 1/4 tsp
  6. Red chilly powder- 1/4 tsp
  7. Salt - per taste
  8. Kasoori methi crushed - 1 tsp
  9. Paneer - 1 full box
  10. Cashews- 2 tsp
  11. Bay leaf- 1
  12. Cinnamon stick - small
  13. Sugar - 2 tsp

Method

  • In a pan, add butter 
  • Add onions, tomatoes and cashews
  • Add salt
  • Add Ginger garlic, garam masala, red chilly powder
  • Saute until tomatoes become mashy
  • Allow it to cool and then grind to smooth paste
  • In a pan, add little more butter
  • Add cinnamon sticks, bay leaf
  • Add the paste 
  • Allow it to boil
  • Add crushed kasoori methi
  • Add sugar
  • Add a tsp of butter before switching off
To get a restaurant style touch, add cream instead of butter after switching off
