Uraddhal Vada

Urad dhal vada

Ingredients:

  1. Urad dhal - 1cup
  2. Fenugreek seeds - 1 tsp
  3. Rice flour- 2 tsp
  4. Onion - 1
  5. Coriander leaves - 1 small bunch
  6. Green chilly -1
  7. Salt - to taste
  8. Oil- to fry

  • Wash and soak dhal for 3 hours
  • Grind to fine coarse with minimum water
  • Transfer the contents to a bowl
  • Add chopped onions, chilly, coriander
  • Add rice powder (makes vada crispy)
  • Add salt
  • Heat oil 
  • make vadas
Tastes yummy with chutneysambhar
Tips:
  1. I use tea filter upside down to make fluffy vadas with whole inside
  2. Batter can be stored after step3
