Ingredients:
- Onion - 1
- Tomato -1
- Tamarind - 1 gooseberry size
- Pepper- 1 tsp
- Jeera- 1 tsp
- Veg of choice
(drumstick/ ladies finger/ garlic/ brinjal) - 1 cup - Garlic cloves- 8
- Thalipu vadagam - 1 tsp
- Kuzhambu milagi powder- 2 tsp
- Gingely oil - 5 tsp
- Curry leaves - few
- Mustard seeds - few
Recipe:
To soak
- Soak tamarind extract with kuzhambu milagai powder
- Let it soak until we prepare other things
To grind:
- Fry tomato, onion, garlic, pepper and jeera
- Allow it to cool and grind to paste
Preparation:
- In pan, add gingely oil, splutter mustard seeds and add curry leaves
- Add veg and allow it to fry until it cooks
- Add thalipu vadagam, fry until raw smell goes
- Add tamarind water mix, boil for few mins
- Add grind mix
- Allow it to boil until the quantity becomes to half or oil separate
Mix with rice or have as side dish...
Try out eating with rice and veggies
- Serve hot
This can be used upto 3 days
