Ingredients:
- Basmati rice - 2.5 cups
- Water - 5 cups
- Salt - taste
- Apple- 1 cup
- Pineapple- 1 cup
- Raisins - 1/2 cup
- Cashews - 1/2 cup
- Badam/Walnuts - 1/2 cup
- Mint leaves- 1/2 cup
- Cloves- 4
- Cinnamon stick - small
- Bay leaf -1
- Ginger garlic paste - 1tsp
- Ghee - 1 cup
- Onion - 1
Wash and soak basmati rice for 15 mins ( you can do it while cutting fruits)
Deep fry cut onion
Method
- In a pressure cooker, add rice and salt
- Pressure cook for 2 whistles
- In a pan, add ghee and add cloves, cinnamon, bay leaf
- Add ginger garlic paste
- Add little more ghee and add Nuts and raisins
- Add fruits
- Add mint leaves
- Add cooked rice and mix well
- Add fried onions
I have not added anything for spice, you could add 2 green chillies for a bit of spice in it :)
